The Committee for Integrity Enhancement’s 24th Awards Ceremony was April 11, 2016 in the Northside Middle School Auditorium.
The keynote speaker for the ceremony was Jeff Mosier, local representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in East Central Indiana.
The Theme for the 2016 essay contest was “How do my beliefs and actions show my commitment to being a person of integrity.” Essays were entered from more than 850 students. Each school had two winners in each division, and overall winners were selected from school winners. Committee for Integrity Enhancement board member Brian Ramsey introduced and read portions from the essay contest winners for each division.
Elementary: First, Lydia Coombs, Selma in Mr Faulkner’s class; second, Ryder Brown, Heritage Hall in Mrs. Smith’s class; third, Norah Quirk, St. Mary’s in Carrie Craig’s class.
Middle school: First, Alana Stonewall, Heritage Hall in Mr. Callan’s class; second, Evan Cartwright, Heritage Hall in Mr. McKee’s class; third, Emeline Thygerson, Northside in Mrs. Carr’s class.
High school: First, Joli Finley, Delta in Mrs. Fox’s class; second, Ben Martin, Woodward Academy in Dee Martin’s class; third, Audrey Summers, Delta in Mrs. Fox’s class.
Bryan Rausch, Stephen Avila, W.C. Edwards, Jason Adams, Ronald Sloan and Marvin Porter (photo unavailable) were this year’s Personal Integrity Award recipients.
This year’s winners of the Teachers Appreciation Awards were Maryann Foltz and Rebecca Juday.
